I bought this for a 2004 blue Saturn VUE because my children scratched the side of the car trying to get their bikes out of the garage. The scratch was a good three feet+ across the drivers side. I stared at it long enough and went looking around town for something to cover it. Nothing worked since the scratch was down to the metal. I was searching on Amazon and happed up on this product thought I'd give it a try since it was under $10. After receiving I used the blue tube, rubbed the blue paste on the scratch(es) then buffed off, afterwards I used the shine gel/paste. Viola the scratch(es) is barely noticable. For families with kids that keep bumping and scratching their cars (as well as the people who don't care in parking lots) and you want the car to look decent while driving around town, this product is great! My wife's new blue Nissan Rogue received two scratches after only a few months, which I couldn't remove with a clear-coat scratch remover, and I felt wasn't worth making a small problem potentially larger with sanding & touch-up. I was VERY skeptical of this product (as I am all things 'As seen on TV!'), but decided to take a chance (it's less than ten bucks). On scratch #1, it disappeared completely. I couldn't even find it when I left to get my wife to show her. On scratch #2, which had a small hook in it (sort of like the letter 'J'), it made it about 75% better (the only part you really see if you look hard is the hook). On either scratch, if you didn't know they were there, you would never find them. It took me about 4 minutes to fix both. The product was well worth it, and after a week of rain and a car wash, the scratches are still invisible. Now, I agree with others here in that if one of the six colors isn't your car color, you may have different results (I did not have to mix colors). Because you are filling in a tiny scratch, as long as the color is in the same family, you'll be fine. Also, why white isn't included is beyond me. Basically if you have a white car, you cannot use this product. Beyond that, I recommend this product. Your results really depend on your car's color and how deep your scratch is (if you are down to the metal and have a deep gouge, nothing is going to work). Definitely did not work. There were no mixing instructions, so I was stuck trying to guess what colors to put together to get dark green...which went less than smoothly. After a while I just gave up and threw the whole thing away.

Great product once you learn how to work with it. Best way to use it is to fill the deep scratches with the product and wipe off the excess level with the surrounding surface before it dries completely. Once product becomes tacky, polish area with the included liquid. Let product harden for 24 Hours. Polish with your favorite high quality wax. Works best on dark paint jobs; especially black. Can even be painted and sanded once completely dry. Tiny bit of Scratch X smooths everything out. I fixed a deep scratch in my fender. Works sort of like colored Bondo. You could not find the scratch unless I show you where it is. Works for me!! P.S. You won't find these instructions on the package - Personal experience. Used it on my last car many times.
